Rolling into 2020…
Hello and welcome to our first blog of 2020. Apologies for our lack of communication in 2019. Suffice to say we had a tricky year personally, but we got through it! Here’s to a healthy and happier year.
Last year’s highlights included the fireworks at Quex Park in November – it was jolly windy and wet but the show must go on and a few thousand people enjoyed the display put on by Steve and his crew at Kent Events. This year the theme is “Celebrating 50 years of Queen” Tickets are already on sale and its set to be a good one. They really do put on a show and we love working with them.
Also at Quex Park, but a few months earlier in May, we were pleased to supply the marquees again for a festival which is still in its infancy called ‘Festability‘. Its happening again this year on the 20th June. The ladies from SNAAP work tirelessly to ensure this event is inclusive to all, and its a pleasure to work along side them.
We did several jobs at Maidstone TV studios. We said “No Likee, No Lighty!” to Take Me Out. We’ve been working on that show for 11 years and its sad it won’t be returning, but we did supply audience marquees for the new series of Supermarket Sweep, and the classics – Catchphrase and Jools Holland’s Hootenany. We’ll be back at the studios in a few weeks to set up for another round of filming, but its top secret for now!
We’ve struck up a new relationship with the most wonderful glamping/wedding venue. Annabelle and Steve at Gravel Pit Farm really are living the good life. Its such a perfect setting for a wedding and we are delighted to be on board with them.
For now, we’re busy getting all the gear ready for the season ahead. Liam’s cleaning the black and white dancefloor. Now we just need the rain to stop!
